If I had one gripe with this game, its that it’s a passive take on WWE games. In addition, there are 4 different character classes, Acrobat, Big Man, Brawler and Grappler, which actually function differently as advertised – too many games of this genre suffer from having classes that are virtually the same. Its essentially a fighting game but set in a WWE ring, which I felt worked incredibly well and added a lot of excitement to each match. WWE All Stars offers 17 characters inspired by famous wrestlers such as Kane, Randy Orton, Triple H, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Sheamus. You can create your own fighter and easily get into the action thanks to the single player and exhibition modes.

In a departure from THQs annual Smackdown Vs Raw series, All Stars takes a more arcade. Arcade AwesomenessĪbove all else, WWE Allstars gives players the opportunity to live out their craziest wrestling dreams with ease. WWE All Stars is a 2011 wrestling game developed by THQ San Diego. Getting to watch some of the greatest WWE legends face off against the biggest names today was a blast and that couldn’t have been done without the great game design as a whole. As a result, the overall tone and feel of the game is fantastic.

This is NOT a wrestling simulation title – its been well-crafted to be over the top, wild, and insanely fun, somewhat putting realism to the wayside. Notably, this is his first appearance in a THQ/WWE game thus far, making it a wholly unique experience for this alone.Īs a fan of the Macho Man, its hard to say that I didn’t come at this game with a bit more leniency, but it turns out that I really didn’t have to. It not only has some of the greatest legends to walk the stage, like John Cena, The Rock, Andre the Giant, Big Show, Triple H, Bret 'Hit Man' Hart, Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Rey Mysterio, but it also has the one and only Macho Man Randy Savage.
